“Perfection is boring; let’s get weird.”
-Emily Henderson
Welcome to The Imperfectionist! Grab a cup of coffee and stay for a while, won’t you? I’m Kira, and I write this blog about style, decor, and more for the everyday, imperfect girl. If you’re looking for relatable, attainable, affordable style for your closet or your home, then you’ve come to the right place. Here you’ll find everything from outfit posts to DIY’s to furniture arranging tips (but probably not food posts, since I hate cooking).
A little bit about me: I’m neurotic and insane (aren’t we all at least a little) and a hot mess 99% of the time. A recovering perfectionist, I strive to find balance in dreaming big while living in the present moment. I also happen to be an emerging interior designer in Chicago (click here to work with me). I’m practically imperfect in every way and believe too-short curtains are a crime – NAY, a travesty (they are the flooded pants of window treatments). Some things I love: red lipstick, vintage furniture, knitting, linen sheets, wool socks, the beach, clothes, shoes, yoga, Carerra marble, traveling, coffee, reading books, writing stories, eating food, taking photos, visiting museums. A homebody to the core, you can probably find me curled up on the couch with my husband almost every night.
