Hi friends, and happy Monday!
I was fortunate enough to have the day off work (yippee!) but my how the time seems to fly even faster over a three-day weekend! Do you feel that too? Or do you soak up that extra day, relishing every minute?
Here’s what I did over the weekend…
We headed to the lakehouse for the weekend with our friends and their adorable baby. Seriously, so many baby cuddles. That kid makes having a baby look easy. It was an awesome weekend, with lots of laughs, plus cozy fires and fun board games. Pretty much my idea of a perfect time. Then it was back to the city where today I spent almost my entire day off cleaning our house. I could write an entire post on the feelings I have when cleaning our house (read: major euphoria at the cleanliness/terror at the thought of it all getting dirty again/despair that it’s never clean enough, like when I vacuumed the curtains but realized there are cobwebs on the curtain rods). You know, the usual reactions normal people have (sarcasm).
Anyway, I managed to scrub Cinderella-style, then we made a mad dash in the rain to get some errands done. Now I’m curled up on the couch trying out my new Baby Foot exfoliation wraps (thanks mom!) and finally getting around to getting this post up.

Ok now I have to get back to my chores – first it’s prepping my lunches for the week, then it’s vacuuming our hallway. The only reason I’m able to even attempt to get it all done is because my doting husband is cooking us dinner. Thanks love 😉
Sounds like such a fun weekend! I always think that a 3-day weekend is going to feel long, then by the time Monday night rolls around I’m wondering where all that time went!
