Black & White & Red All Over

Well folks, fall has officially arrived.

Despite fall being my favorite season, I can’t say I’m thrilled it’s here (yet). Summer always moves too fast for me, and underneath all the layers lies an utter sense of dread that winter is coming.

What I am looking forward to, however, is the quintessential fall wardrobe (a.k.a. leather jackets and ankle booties). No outfit feels more effortlessly chic than a drapey leather jacket paired with a killer pair of jeans and cute booties.

Another instant-style-pick-me-up I sport is the classic red lip. Season-less (hell, timeless), the red lip can instantly elevate your everyday look. I particularly love it when paired with barely-there makeup.

My September popsugar must-have box included this red lip lacquer by Smith + Cult. I usually opt for a matte red lip, but was eager to try out their glossy version. And ladies, let me tell you, it DID NOT DISAPPOINT.

It adds the perfect touch of glam to the classic look. Wear it solo or layer it over your usual red for added drama. Won’t it be perfect for a holiday look? (Ew did I just say “holiday”? Barf.)
