This color combo right here people. This is all I want to wear right now!
Top (also love this, this, this, and this!) / Pants (old, but these and these are super similar) / Bag / Silk Scarf (a gift from my sister, but I found some good options here, here, here, here, and here) / Shoes (also love these (on sale!), and these, which are way more affordable!)
I know I speak in hyperbole like 99% of the time, but this might be my new favorite top of all time. Just look at that color! Those ruffles! The buttons! Sweetness overload. My cousin Kerri got it for me a few weeks ago when she and Melissa, Emma, and Ella came for a quick visit. We debated for probably 15 full minutes on whether to go with the blush or blue, and while I love both, I’m so glad I went with the blush. Blush is so in right now, and for good reason. It oozes luxe, ladylike, feminine vibes. Best part about this top? The ruffles! Squeal! Second best part about this top? It is insanely comfortable. Like second-skin comfortable. Topshop totally nailed it with this sucker.
This week has been great so far. I’m feeling very productive at the new job, and I’m learning SO much. I’m trying to focus all my energy on work, which is great, but also kinda makes me feel like I’m failing in other parts of my life (are you sensing a recurring theme here people?) I sort of have this see-saw effect in my life… when one thing starts to do well or demands more of my attention, other things start to slip. I’m starting to think the solution to this problem isn’t to find out how to “balance” better, but maybe how to accept letting go a little of one thing in order to better focus on another. Instead of trying to give a little of my effort to everything, how about most effort to just one or two things? There is usually still enough left to get the bare minimum done in the other areas. It sounds good in theory. We’ll see if I can manage to put it into practice 😉
Whatever you’re up to, I hope you have a good Wednesday!
