I admit it, I’ve got babies on the brain. No, I’m not pregnant. I just spend a lot of time with friends who are either expecting, or have babies. My best friend Nicole is due in June, and you already know about my obsession with Kelly’s sweet Emma. Not to mention Emily (who you may remember from this post) just gave birth to her second child – an adorable baby girl. All the babies have me thinking about one thing: the nursery.
Hello friends! Popping in to let you know about some fantastic sales happening this weekend!
First off, I have to say, this week was so. much. better. I took some time on Sunday to sit down and organize my week. I carved out time for yoga, lunch, working on emails, and tackling my to-do list. Then I blocked off time for everything on my calendar – and it worked! Sure, I still had some fires come up that required my immediate attention. But since I had my whole week planned out, I knew exactly what time I could use to address them. Highly recommend this whole “planning out your work week” thing.
Anyone who knows me knows I am totally drinking the Studio-McGee-Koolaid. And with good reason; the husband-wife duo has built a shiplap-meets-brass-finish empire. We can credit them with the sudden explosion of Kilim rugs in the kitchen, wood bead chandeliers in the dining room, and about 99% of the top interior decor pins on Pinterest. (Also, look! We have the same taste!)
Ugh this weekend was full of rain and let me tell you, it was a real downer. Friday’s high of 75 was glorious, but honestly, I don’t know how much longer I can wait. This is the time when I start questioning why in god’s name I don’t live somewhere warmer and sunnier. It finally stopped pouring on Sunday afternoon, so Tom and I ventured outside for lunch and spent time wandering through Lincoln Park Zoo (did you see the baboon on my Insta-stories? V SAD). It always feels good when I spend time outside, even if the weather is total crap.
On a more positive note, I had the best time at Claire’s Art Fair on Friday night! Thanks to all who came out to show your love and support!
