Happy Monday! And it really is a great start to the week, as I’m LOVING my new job! We had such a good weekend… well most of the weekend. Friday I actually managed to fight off a migraine, so I was wiped and basically just passed out after work. Saturday we had Mitch and Emma over for dinner and it was so fun! (Kelly, we missed you!!) Sunday was spent painting our bedroom and omg I can’t even tell you how much I love it (see grainy iPhone pic above). We chose Farrow & Ball’s Hague Blue (one of my all-time favorites). I took the opportunity to wash our curtains, and well, you know me, it probably was the best part of my whole weekend. We sneaked in a quick walk in the sunshine in the late afternoon and then put our house back together and started prepping for the week. (By “prepping for the week” I really mean Tom cooked and I wrote this blog post #husbandoftheyear.)
President’s Day Deals
Oh hey there! It has been a pretty packed weekend for us, but my god did we enjoy the unusually warm weather! I kept saying to Tom, “It is February. Can you believe this is February?!”
Red Hot
Red. The color of love. A bright, bold, commanding color. A color I actively dislike when it comes to home design and decor.
Current Design Crush: Donna Mondi Interior Design
When the uber-talented Donna Mondi agreed to be interviewed for my Current Design Crush series, you know I was beyond thrilled. Even though Donna and I have never met in person, she has been such a huge resource for me as an aspiring interior designer. I’ve asked her questions about everything from which classes I should be taking in school to what kind of jobs I should be looking for and applying to. She continues to amaze me with her desire to give back to the design world and mentor young women in the field. Her work has been described as a unique blend of European Classicism and American Modernism, and her spaces never fail to find an edge. Read on for my full interview with the talented and brilliant Donna Mondi.
