Chicago Riverwalk

It’s no secret I love Chicago in the summer. It’s sort of like we’re bears who hibernate all winter long and forget what the outside world looks like. World? Hello? Is that really you?!

In the summer months I try to spend as much time as humanly possible outside. I work in the loop, which is close to the lake and riverfront. I try to sneak out over my lunch break every day to go for a walk along the lakefront or the newly developed Riverwalk. It’s extra nice since Tom works downtown too and can usually meet me for a daily stroll.

Getting a coffee and taking a walk together in the middle of a work day totally helps me decompress. Talking with Tom is always so enjoyable for me, and I’m guaranteed at least a few good laughs.

I also come from a long line of people-watchers, and I always find plenty to scope out along the Riverwalk. More often than not, Tom has to remind me not to stare (whoops).
