Happy Monday my friends! I’ve got a boatload of work to do today, so let’s dive right in to today’s post, shall we?
First off, a few updates. Tom and I painted our bathroom BLACK this weekend. A pretty ballsy design move, and one that challenged the perfectionist in me more than any other project we’ve attempted to date (have you ever painted with the color black? It is SO hard. You better have the steadiest hand of them all). But it turned out great and was the bathroom refresh I’ve been craving since we moved in. I’ve said this before, but our place’s design is fine, it’s just not totally us. So we are slowly but surely adding more of our own personalities and style over time.
The weather in Chicago was heaven this weekend, and the extra hour of sleep felt simply luxurious. We had a little cookout with our neighbors on Saturday night and some of the guys were even wearing short sleeves! In November? I’LL TAKE IT.
We’ve begun working on our final project in class and I am totally stressing. There is SO MUCH work to do for it! And I’m about to be out of town for work quite a bit, so I’m majorly freaking out about the workload. Yet another manifestation of Friday’s post. SIGH.
