“I have a visual sense of what I am trying to achieve, but it is never formulaic. I don’t like spaces to be too perfect – an element of the unfinished or the casual is a reminder that we are human.”
Oh hi Rose, sounds like we might be M.F.E.O.
I love love love Rose Uniacke’s designs. Ok maybe I love her as a person too, but that’s neither here nor there. All of her rooms seamlessly integrate sophistication and elegance with a sense of accessibility and comfort. There is always something just a touch “undone,” and it works every time, without fail.
In what is arguably her most notable project to date, Rose designed the Jo Malone global headquarters in London. For those of you who don’t know, Jo Malone is a fragrance line chock-full of the most divine scents, such as Basil & Neroli and Peony & Blush Suede. 100% swoon-worthy.
I could literally die in this space, it is so lovely. I’ve never been in person, but I know without a doubt this is my idea of heaven. Ok, ok, I know, enough gushing, and on to what you actually came here for: the pretty pictures.
Yea, so I’m pretty entirely obsessed. Rose, if you’re reading this, I really think we could be friends. Next time you’re in Chicago, you’ve got our spare room (slash storage closet) all to yourself.
Other than drooling over today’s Current Design Crush, I’m off to a pretty busy work day. Lots of running around. But I’m so into it! I was just telling Tom last night how much I was looking forward to getting back to work today. Granted, I had a pretty low-key weekend, filled mostly with homework. Wild, I know.
Also, sorry to all my friends for being a little MIA lately. Between the new job, school, this blog, and general adulting, I’m spread pretty thin. Bear with me, pretty please!
I hope you all have a great Monday, filled with lots of coffee!

It was a great experience to live in a contemporary high-rise building but there is nothing like living in this kind of architecture!
