Happy Friday friends! TEE GEE EYE EFF, amirite?!
Today I’m talking about a holiday trend that has popped up this season – or maybe it’s been around forever and I’m only now getting hip to it (wouldn’t be surprised if that’s in fact the case). Either way, I’ve noticed it popping up over social media and it seems to be taking the Pinterest world for a spin.
MULTIPLE TREES.
That’s right. More than one Christmas tree! Which, if you’re like me and you live in a modest-size apartment in a city, may not be a feasible option for you (I wouldn’t recommend shoving two trees into your studio apartment, for example). BUT if you happen to be Rachel Parcell and have a mega-mansion with extra square footage, then this is the trend to try!
What do you think? Would you try this trend in your home for the holidays?
I think I like it. It’s over the top, yes, but if the space itself is also a little over the top, then it works. Rachel has a huge house and a massive living room with ceilings that reach incredible heights. So one large tree flanked by two smaller ones works for her. Her style is bright and glam, so the lighter flocked trees really jive in the space. Clearly this trend is not one for the minimalists, or for the faint of heart. But if you’re a go-bold-or-go-home kinda gal, then I’d say give it a whirl.
I’m so ready for the weekend people! Counting down the days til my sister arrives and we can spend the holidays together. Any fun plans this weekend? We are going to see the Zoo Lights with our friends Katie and Sam and their adorable baby Aiden. I only hope I stay (somewhat) warm in this chilly weather. Ain’t nothin I hate worse than frozen toes that ruin a festive outing.
Hope you have a warm and cozy weekend, see you back here on Monday!
