Guys I’m excited to announce the launch of a new, sustainable clothing line based in Paris, France called Les Sublimes.
I have to be honest here – I’m a problem child of Mother Earth. I do what I can, which primarily means using reusable shopping totes, but that’s only because they are cuter and more functional than paper bags. I recycle, so I guess that’s good too. But honestly, I don’t think I’ve given one moment’s thought to the fashion industry’s impact on our planet. I wish I cared more, but there is only so much room in my heart for these things. Maybe it’s a self-preservation thing. Whatever the reason, I’ve never cared how clothes are made.
Until now.
Well actually that’s only half-true. I still don’t know if I care all that much. Certainly not enough to take serious action. But I appreciate that Les Sublimes is taking the action for me. They have created a clothing line produced responsibly in Paris, France. Two cool things: 1. Every Les Sublimes product is manufactured from start to finish with the intention to preserve and fortify our planet’s delicate ecosystems and improve the lives of the hardworking people who make each piece; and 2. With every piece you purchase, you give one month of education to a young girl in need. Because they believe that educating girls is the best way to end poverty permanently. Pretty cool.
I mean, their pictures alone have me wanting to pack up and gallop off to Paris tonight. Heck I could even work in their 2nd generation family-run atelier outside of Lyon where they manufacture their clothes. Le sigh.
Back to reality. I’ve curated four of my favorite items of theirs: the Tokyo Tank, the London Dress, the Buenos Aires Dress, and the Stockholm Tee.
First up, the Tokyo Tank has me reliving my ballet days all over again. The perfect shade of blush, it can be paired with practically anything. Keep it simple with dainty gold jewelry or add statement earrings for a wow factor. Pull your hair into a topknot to showcase the sweet criss-cross straps in back. Hello summer-friendly attire!
Next item I’m loving is the London Dress, which is one of those items that can easily be dressed up or down. Adding some bright white sneakers keeps things casual, while pairing it with black pumps and a leather jacket takes you straight to date night.
Another dress of theirs I’m lusting over is the Buenos Aires Dress, which is oh-so-classic and yet a tad edgy, with the square neck and criss-cross straps. Same idea here – it can be dressed up or down. But definitely add this lipstick to complete your french girl facade.
Last but certainly not least, their simple Stockholm Tee has a great cut and would look fab with these jeans. Rock a clutch and heels for going out, or sneakers and mirrored sunnies for a casual Sunday vibe.
With any of their products you can trust you’re getting quality fabrics with minimal impact on Mother Earth. While also looking like a french girl #winwin.
