I’d say a few life updates are in order, wouldn’t you?
I’ll start off this post by filling you in on a major life update – our dishwasher broke 🙁 I guess that doesn’t really constitute as major. (What does constitute as major?) Anyway, it is leaking really badly at the bottom so we are going to have to replace it at some point. And financially, that point is not now. So my dear sweet husband has been washing all our dishes by hand! As if he doesn’t do enough around here – what with cooking our dinners, packing my lunches, and brewing the coffee (obviously the most important). Did I mention he cleans and knows how to do laundry? I know I know, I snagged a real #winner. Love you Tom!
My parents are already in Italy helping my sister prep for her wedding which is in FIVE WEEKS. Like woah, how did that sneak up on me?! I can’t even tell you how excited I am for her. Last weekend I had lunch with Maya and Kelly (I think I already mentioned that) and it was just so awesome to have some time with girlfriends. On that note, I had dinner with Kelly, Maya, Blair, and Arin on Wednesday night at Quartino – omg the food is out of this world. Drool-worthy. Wednesday also happened to be the night of the epic Chicago monsoon, so that was a real treat. We tried taking an uber home together, somehow managed to eff that up, had to get out and wait for another uber, and still didn’t manage to get it right. All whilst navigating the treacherous storm! Needless to say, I was pretty soaked by the time I got home.
Last night we celebrated the opening of Alice & Wonder’s new store on Webster! You heard me gushing over them in my last post, but you guys – the store is even better than you can imagine! So many awesome ladies came out to support the store – which kicks off its grand opening this Saturday! Be sure to stop by, you won’t be disappointed!
Ok, last update. My favorite striped dress of the season is on sale for $29!!! Comes in navy and white too, and is perfect for spring/summer. I’ll definitely be wearing it sometime this weekend when the weather hits 70 DEGREES!! We’ve got some fun things planned to enjoy the weather, including hitting up the Renegade Craft Fair pop-up in Pilsen on Sunday!
