Ugh this weekend was full of rain and let me tell you, it was a real downer. Friday’s high of 75 was glorious, but honestly, I don’t know how much longer I can wait. This is the time when I start questioning why in god’s name I don’t live somewhere warmer and sunnier. It finally stopped pouring on Sunday afternoon, so Tom and I ventured outside for lunch and spent time wandering through Lincoln Park Zoo (did you see the baboon on my Insta-stories? V SAD). It always feels good when I spend time outside, even if the weather is total crap.
On a more positive note, I had the best time at Claire’s Art Fair on Friday night! Thanks to all who came out to show your love and support!
Today I’m sharing a mood board I whipped up with a chic, urban, somewhat modern living room in mind. Lots of mixed metals and various textures make for a layered yet sophisticated vibe. I imagine a young woman who works in publishing, maybe for a magazine, and likes to throw dinner parties at home. What do you think? Would you live here?
How was your weekend? Like I said, the weather made it tough, and Saturday was pretty rough for me (there may or may not have been multiple cry sessions). But sometimes a good cry brings such relief! I’m getting into the swing of things at work, and I’m hoping the weather warms up for good soon. So hopefully I’ll start to relax and unwind a little! I will say, yoga has been a total lifesaver. Without it, I don’t think I’d have any shred of mental sanity (not that I’m working with lots to begin with).
Well I’m off to work this Monday morning, and I hope to have a super productive day! Here’s hoping you do too 😉
