Memorial Day will always feel exciting to me. I think it’s because as a kid it meant summer was sooooo close, like just around the corner! The pool opened on Memorial Day weekend, plus we had that extra day off school. And usually we were celebrating with family and friends at some sort of BBQ extravaganza.
Can I go back to being a kid now please?!

I’m a big believer in breaking all the rules. Just ask my parents about my teenage years.
So it really should come as no surprise to find I like to wear white – not just between Memorial Day and Labor Day, but all. year. long.
Rebellious? Perhaps.
But in all seriousness, I say to hell with all the rules, and wear white year-round. Winter white is especially wonderful, and white in the springtime feels like a breath of fresh air.
